Illuminations for relaxing

I'm very interesting in making my room comfortable recently.
Since the creation will be done in the room of my own, I want to make my room comfortable as much as I can so that I change my mode to the music quickly when I come back from the day job.

By way of experiment, I tried to introduce the "sofa" to my room for relaxing, and bought "Airport express" for removing the annoying stereo cable connected to my laptop (this is a really good product).

Although my endeavor made some improvements, I found important factor for changing my room was existed in the "illumination".
I investigated and read the book about the "illuminations".

I found "the color of the light" and "the direction of the light" were important.
(Note: The height of the light is also important but I don't mention about that in this entry.)

The type of the color of the light is categorized as "white color" or "orange color".
The light of "white color" is represented typically by the "fluor lamp" and it tends to make people active.
The result is that the fluor lamps are used in the office space since top management of the company want their employees to work as much as they can.

One of the flaws of the white color light is that it makes people be exhausted.
(If you want to sleep deeply, it's better for you not to be exposed yourself in the flour lamp (and light of your PC monitor) before you sleep.)

The light of "orange color" is represented typically by the "incandescent lamp".
It can make people relax.

The direction of the light is also important.
There is a big difference between being exposed to the light directly or indirectly.
Direct illumination make people be in tense situations. (Imagine you are in the stage and exposed by many spot lights.) Ambient light can make people relax.

In conclusion, I introduced two "halogen lamp" (orange color light) to my room and changed the direction of the light to make the indirect illumination.
Now my room become very comfortable. I'm relaxing and concentrating on my everyday life.
I highly recommend you to consider about the illumination of your room if you want your life to be more creative one.
